Salesian College, Siliguri celebrated Bosco Jayanti on 16th August 2024 marking 209th birthday of St. John Bosco with a solemn Inaugural Mass marking also the commencement of the new academic year.
Some 500 plus first semester students, faculty members and staff participated.

The event took place at the Don Bosco Shrine with Fr (Dr) Tomy Augustine, Rector and Controller of Examinations as the main celebrant. He was joined by Principal, Fr. Dr Babu Joseph, Vice Principals Fr (Dr) Saju Puthussery, and Fr C.M. Paul, VP, and Bursar Fr Jagjivan Tirkey.

During the ceremony, Physics HoD Assistant Professor Dr Prajjwal Chettri explained various parts of the celebration and its significance.
The choir, under the baton of Mr. Simon Lepcha rendered hymns in multi lingual languages.
