Salesian College Sonada offers a wonderful opportunity for its students to Learn and Earn, Win and Work as undergraduate students. Students can win scholarships and Fee concession by signing up for an Internship Program with Verzotto Memorial Library, Sonada, the Dalzovo Memorial Library, Siliguri Campus, and Salesian College Research & Publication Centre.  Library Internship provides students the opportunity to learn library system management, documentation, digitalization, digital data management, creation and management of  E-resources etc. Internship at Research and Publication Centre helps students develop their organizational skills by organizing Undergraduate Research Programs and Research Scholars’ Workshops and assisting Translation and Publication Projects.

Service Scholarship Program

Salesian college Sonada-Siliguri offers 16 Service Scholarships annually. Application for the same should reach the respective Rector’s offices before 30 September. The Students selected for Scholarship is expected to put in 100 hours of work in the library during the scholarship year.  On completion of 100 hours library work the student will also be awarded a Service Scholarship Certificate.

Service Concession Program

Salesian college Sonada-Siliguri offers 16 Service Concessions annually. Application for the same should reach the Rector’s offices before 30 September. The Students selected for  Service Concession  will be given  a fee concession up to Rs.10000/- annually in return for 100 hours of library service. Anyone who completes 100 hours or more of library work will also be awarded a Library Service Certificate as well.

Library Internship Program

Salesian College Sonada-Siliguri invites students to join its Library Internship program. There is no monetary benefit attached to this offer. Students can earn a Library Internship Certificate by putting in a minimum of 100 hours of work in the library during the 3 years of their undergraduate degree program.

Research Internship Program

Students who sign up for this program will help in organizing undergraduate Research projects of various departments, departmental seminars and publications, and Research  Scholars’ workshops. There is no monetary benefit attached to this offer. Students will be awarded a Certificate of Internship on completion of a minimum of 100 hours of Internship.

Service Learning Programme

Salesian College Sonada-Siliguri offers service learning programme for the year 2021-22 in the school of Human Sciences (Psychology, Sociology and Social Work) and in Education. The third and fifth semester students will get an opportunity to share the knowledge they have assimilated with the community under the guidance of the faculty and to bring that learning back to the class room. On assessment  at the completion of the minimum allotted credits a certificate shall be given to every student. 

N.B Internship with other institutions/Corporate houses/NGOs may be arranged by the college for interested students. These will be governed exclusively by policies of the host institutions.
