Siliguri — Faculty members from the Departments of Education and English at Salesian College Siliguri participated in the National Seminar on Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) hosted by Cluny Women’s College, Kalimpong, November 3, 2025. The academic gathering witnessed active participation from Principal Fr Dr Babu Joseph, Salesian scholars who presented papers, and contributed to the evolving discourse on indigenous pedagogies and cultural frameworks.
Principal of Salesian College Siliguri, Rev. Fr. Dr Babu Joseph addressed the assembly in person, affirming the institution’s commitment to collaborative scholarship and the revitalization of traditional knowledge.
Among the distinguished attendees was Cluny Sister Dr. Pascualina, Head of the Department of English at Salesian College Siliguri, whose presence underscored the shared academic heritage between the two institutions.
The seminar served as a platform for interdisciplinary engagement, fostering dialogue between educators, researchers, and students on the relevance of IKS in contemporary education.
