Siliguri: Salesian College (Autonomous), Siliguri, celebrated 56th NSS Foundation Day on September 24, 2025. The programme reflected the values of service, unity, and leadership central to the NSS motto “Not Me But You.”
The day began with a presentation in the morning assembly on the aims, objectives, motto, and initiatives of NSS, offering students meaningful insights into its role in nation-building.
The afternoon celebration opened with the lighting of the lamp and felicitation of senior volunteers, followed by cultural performances that added energy and vibrancy to the event. Certificates were awarded to participants of the Annual Camp 2024–25, while appointment letters were presented to the newly elected committee for 2025–26, marking the transition of responsibilities.
Interactive sessions, cake cutting, and fun games further strengthened the bond among volunteers. The event concluded with the NSS Anthem, National Anthem, and NSS Clap, leaving behind an inspiring reminder of selfless service and collective growth. END
