Siliguri: Salesian College Siliguri hosted Departmental Farewell 2026 with each department organizing its own programme in separate lecture halls on 2nd May. Students collaborated to make the occasion memorable, reflecting unity and shared effort. The events featured testimonies, performances, and interactive activities that celebrated cherished memories and the bonds formed over the years.
The farewell for batch 2023 provided juniors an opportunity to express gratitude and appreciation towards their seniors, while outgoing students received heartfelt best wishes as they step into a new phase of life.
This year, 505 third‑year students are eligible to enter the fourth year across 18 departments. However, 240 students plan to exit the program, leaving 265 students to continue in fourth year.
According to Deputy Controller of Examinations Mr. Bikramjit Chandra, “Of the 505 eligible students, about 160 have to sit for the Supplementary Exam in July. This number is expected to increase once the current semester results are declared.”
The farewell thus marked both a celebration of shared journeys and a moment of reflection, as the institution prepares to accompany its students into the next stage of their academic and professional lives. END
