Siliguri: Salesian College NCC Senior Under Officer and Political Science 4th semester student Samden Bhotia has been selected for the prestigious NCC Youth Exchange Program 2026. From among applicants across India, only ten cadets—five male and five female—earned this distinction.
Samden stands out as the sole representative from the West Bengal & Sikkim Directorate, and will carry the Indian tricolor to Russia from 30 May to 7 June 2026.
The NCC Youth Exchange Program is a prestigious initiative that fosters international friendship and cultural understanding by sending selected cadets abroad to represent India. It highlights leadership, discipline, and national pride while building global awareness among young participants. Each selection is a mark of excellence, bringing recognition not only to the individual cadet but also to their institution and the wider NCC fraternity.
