Siliguri – Salesian College Autonomous, Siliguri, is hosting Board of Studies (BoS) meetings throughout this week, with different departments taking their turn in the process. The meetings cover the deaneries of Arts and Humanities, Social Sciences, Commerce and Management, and Sciences, and bring together external academic experts alongside faculty  members of 18 departments from both the Siliguri and Sonada campuses. The process is underway also for the four Post Graduate departments of Commerce, English, Education, and Psychology.
The agenda includes: Revision of syllabi from 2023, 2024, and 2025; and discussion of the proposed syllabus for the first batch of 4th year Honours students, with options both with and without research.
The week-long process is designed to ensure academic renewal, curriculum relevance, and alignment with evolving undergraduate structures, while strengthening the college’s commitment to research orientation and professional preparedness. The outcomes of these meetings will guide the next phase of curriculum implementation across departments, reinforcing the institution’s mission of academic excellence.
