Siliguri, 21 February 2026: The Radio Club of Salesian College Siliguri has officially launched Everrooted, a pioneering ecological intelligence platform designed to transform how humanity understands, experiences, and acts for the planet. The unveiling ceremony was led by Fr. C.M. Paul, who described the initiative as “a living system that challenges individuals everywhere to witness the impact of their choices in real time — and evolve with the planet they call home.”
Developed by Anand Kumar (M.Sc. Psychology) and the Radio Club Tech Team, Everrooted integrates environmental science, psychology, and design into a single behavioural movement. “Everrooted is not just an app,” Kumar explained. “It is a behavioural movement. By combining real-time data with gamified learning, we make sustainability personal, practical, and emotionally engaging. Students don’t just learn about the environment — they experience how their actions shape it.”
The platform offers real-time ecological dashboards, carbon footprint simulators, biodiversity tracking, climate projection models, and structured ecological education modules. At its core lies a distinctive Behavioural Influence Engine, designed using principles of reinforcement psychology. Through this system, users interact with a dynamic ecological character whose vitality is directly influenced by their daily environmental choices. Sustainable actions increase the character’s Health Points (HP), strengthening and enabling its progression, while environmentally harmful behaviours result in measurable decline. This real-time feedback mechanism translates behavioural decisions into visible outcomes, transforming climate responsibility from abstract awareness into tangible accountability and long-term habit formation.
Fr. Savio Silveira, SDB, Global Coordinator for Integral Ecology in Salesian Youth Ministry and a leader of the Don Bosco Green Alliance, praised the innovation and pledged institutional support for scaling the initiative globally. “It is time we do not merely talk about the Earth — we feel for it. Empathy must come before action. This planet is our shared home and our shared responsibility,” he said, underscoring the philosophy behind Everrooted.
Adding to the voices of encouragement, Dr. Prajwal Chhetri, Dean of Sciences and Coordinator of the Green Campus initiative, expressed his appreciation for the project. “Everrooted is a timely innovation that empowers students to take ownership of ecological responsibility. It aligns perfectly with our vision of a sustainable campus and inspires young people to lead by example,” he remarked.
With multilingual accessibility, personalized daily recommendations, and participatory feedback systems, Everrooted is built for global scalability. Fr. Paul emphasized that the initiative represents a new model of environmental engagement: “This is not a temporary awareness drive. It is a movement rooted in empathy, impactful by nature, and designed to inspire youth to act locally while thinking globally.”
Backed by the Don Bosco Green Alliance, Everrooted is poised to expand across youth networks and ecological education systems worldwide. For students and young change-makers, it offers a unique opportunity to learn, engage, and evolve with the planet — turning climate responsibility into a daily, interactive journey. END
