Siliguri, 20 February 2026:  The Department of Management Studies at Salesian College (Autonomous) organized an educational day trip to Gorumara National Park on 20 February 2026, offering students a unique opportunity for experiential learning beyond the classroom.
The trip commenced at 6:30 a.m. from the college campus, with students and faculty embarking on a journey to the Dooars region of West Bengal, renowned for its rich biodiversity, sprawling grasslands, and iconic wildlife, including the Indian one-horned rhinoceros.
During the guided safari, students observed diverse species of flora and fauna, gaining firsthand insights into ecological balance and conservation practices. Faculty members facilitated discussions on environmental sustainability, eco-tourism, and community livelihoods, highlighting how responsible tourism contributes to local economic development.
The visit proved both educational and refreshing, strengthening team bonding among students while deepening their awareness of ecological responsibility and sustainable management practices.
