Dear Students, Faculty, Non-Teaching Staff, Members of the Governing Body, and the Entire Salesian College Family,

As we begin the New Academic Year 2026–27, I extend my warm greetings, prayerful good wishes, and heartfelt blessings to each one of you at Salesian College (Autonomous), Sonada and Siliguri. It is with great joy and hope that I address you on this significant occasion as the Provincial and President of the Governing Body.

At the outset, I wish to convey my sincere greetings and best wishes to all the esteemed members of the Governing Body for their dedication, wisdom, and committed service in guiding this prestigious institution toward ever greater heights of excellence. Your vision and stewardship continue to strengthen the mission and identity of Salesian College.

I would also like to express my deep appreciation and congratulations to the Principal, the members of the management, the faculty, and the entire staff for their tireless efforts in making Salesian College a beacon of academic excellence, value-based education, and holistic formation. Your dedication to nurturing young minds and building a vibrant academic community is truly commendable.

Salesian College has consistently distinguished itself through its commitment to quality education, innovation, and the all-around development of students. It is indeed a matter of pride that the institution continues to grow in reputation and service, embodying the educational vision of St. John Bosco.

I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the entire college community for the introduction of two significant new programmes: the Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) and the Apprenticeship-Embedded Degree Programme in Tourism and Hospitality Management. These new academic ventures are remarkable milestones that will undoubtedly enhance the institution's professional landscape, open new avenues of opportunity for students, and infuse fresh dynamism into both faculty and learners. I am confident that these programmes will promote professionalism, competence, and innovation while preparing students to meet society's evolving demands with confidence and skill.

As we celebrate these advancements, I would also like to remind every member of the Salesian College family that ours is not merely an academic institution—it is a Salesian institution, deeply rooted in the spirit and educational philosophy of St. John Bosco. Therefore, we must continue to uphold and embody the Preventive System, founded on reason, religion, and loving-kindness.

Let this spirit guide our relationships, our teaching, our learning, and our service. May our campuses always remain spaces where young people feel welcomed, respected, inspired, and accompanied in their journey toward becoming responsible citizens and persons of integrity. Academic excellence must always go hand in hand with human formation, moral responsibility, and spiritual growth.

Dear students, I encourage you to make the most of the opportunities before you. Pursue knowledge with passion, cultivate discipline, and strive to become not only successful professionals but also good human beings who can transform society. To the faculty and staff, I urge you to continue your noble mission with renewed dedication, knowing that your work shapes the future of countless young people.

As we embark on this new academic year, may God bless Salesian College abundantly. May He continue to guide the Governing Body, the Principal, the management, the faculty, the staff, and every student. May this year be filled with growth, excellence, innovation, and the joyful spirit of Don Bosco.

With my prayers and blessings, I wish you all a fruitful, grace-filled, and successful Academic Year 2026–27.
