Salesian College Sonada/Siliguri Libraries serve the information needs of the College community, the scholarly world, and the locals. The resources and services of the Libraries have been assembled to meet the specific needs of the members of the college community. The mission of the Libraries is based on the dual goals of providing access to information while ensuring preservation of library resources and collections. In achieving these goals, the Libraries will ensure access for all users who need information while implementing appropriate standards to provide for the preservation of library materials and resources. Individual users share access to the finite resources of the Salesian Libraries with all other users.
The Online Digital Library System is a unified digital platform designed to provide seamless access to academic and research resources from both Verzotto Library (Sonada Campus) and Bacchiarello Library (Siliguri Campus). This initiative aims to create a centralized knowledge hub where students, faculty, and researchers can explore, share, and access unpublished articles, research papers, and scholarly materials in one convenient location.
With a focus on open academic collaboration and digital accessibility, the system enables users to browse collections from both libraries through a single online interface, encouraging cross-campus research engagement and resource sharing. The e-Library promotes a culture of research innovation, academic integrity, and knowledge preservation, supporting the institutions’ commitment to education and intellectual growth.
