Siliguri, September 2024: Salesian College (Autonomous) honored its illustrious alumnus, Lieutenant Samuel Jajo, a history honors graduate and NCC cadet, who became the first cadet from the college to clear the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview.
Lt. Jajo was commissioned as an officer in the Indian Army on September 7, 2024, after undergoing rigorous 11-month training at the Officers Training Academy in Chennai.
The NCC cadets organized a felicitation program, where Principal Father Dr. Babu Joseph presented Lt. Jajo with the traditional ceremonial college scarf and a bouquet of flowers.
Lt. Jajo shared his inspiring journey, recounting his training experiences as a military officer, with NCC cadets and history department students. His tale of hard work and dedication left a lasting impact on the audience.
Associate NCC Officer Lt. Risha Chettri expressed gratitude and hoped that Lt. Jajo’s achievement would inspire many more NCC cadets to join the Indian Armed Forces.
