Exsurge 2024: Salesian College Rocks with Talent and Unity

Salesian College (Autonomous), Siliguri hosted a vibrant two-day event, Exsurge 2024, on the 13th and 14th of September, under the theme “Reclaiming Safety: Building a Culture of Respect.” The event brought together students, faculty, in a celebration of creativity, talent, and cultural unity.

Day 1 began with an inspiring inaugural ceremony at the Saint Kilian Arcade. After the formal opening, the day kicked off with a variety of competitions, including Solo Song performances, a RAP contest, Solo Instrumental performances, and creative competitions such as Photography, Sketching, Painting, and Doodling. The atmosphere was filled with excitement as participants showcased their talents across different fields. The first day ended on a high note with energetic Band performances, leaving the audience thrilled.

Alongside the events, the college Savio block were buzzing with numerous stalls set up across both days. These included food stalls offering tasty snacks, fun game booths, and stalls selling dresses, earrings, and bags, adding to the lively ambiance. By the commerce and management students.

Day 2 began with a prayer led by Father Saju Puthussery, Vice Principal of Arts and Humanities, setting a positive and reflective tone for the day. The events continued with Solo Song (Indian) performances, followed by Solo Dance and Group Dance competitions. The Group Dance events, themed and non-themed, captivated the audience with their creative choreography. The Fashion Show brought glamour and style to the stage, as participants confidently strutted in colorful attire.

The program concluded with a grand closing ceremony and an award presentation to the winners, followed by socials, which allowed everyone to unwind and celebrate the success of the event together.

Exsurge 2024 was a brilliant showcase of talent, unity, and respect, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended.
