Siliguri, West Bengal, India – In a significant step towards eradicating ragging from the campus, a session was conducted by Mr. Rakesh Dhakal, Assistant Professor at the Deanery of Commerce & Management, Salesian College (Autonomous) Siliguri. The event brought together students to discuss the serious issue of ragging and its detrimental impact on the academic environment.
During the session, Mr. Dhakal emphasized the importance of upholding human dignity and creating a safe, inclusive space for all students. Participants shared their personal experiences with ragging, highlighting the psychological and emotional toll it can take on victims.
The event was marked by active participation from the students, who expressed their commitment to combating ragging and fostering a culture of respect. Through open dialogue and shared experiences, the session served as a powerful platform for raising awareness and promoting a ragging-free campus.
As a result of the event, students pledged to work together to eradicate ragging and create a positive and supportive learning environment. The Deanery of Commerce & Management has also announced plans to implement measures to prevent and address incidents of ragging.
